families and kids

how every chance works

At Every Chance we believe sport empowers kids. Getting in the game ignites a sense of belonging, shapes character, fuels better health, builds confidence and unleashes potential.

But the cost of registration fees can be a barrier for many families.

Through a confidential application process via a Trusted Referrer, Every Chance provides vouchers to kids from families facing financial barriers to help cover the cost of their sport registration fee so they can experience the joy of a season of sport.

Every Chance does not work directly with families but through a Trusted Referrer Network providing vouchers valued up to $250 for kids to support costs associated with registration in junior sport.

If you want to apply for a Every Chance voucher or learn more about the program, start by finding your local Trusted Referrer to help you.

Process and Eligibility

Every Chance considers applications for funding for anyone aged 5-18, living in the ACT, wanting to participate in local sports, and attending school who is experiencing financial hardship.

Eligible kids in the ACT can receive up to $250 per calendar year to cover the costs of joining any approved ACT junior sports club.

Sport activities must be affiliated with the member sport organisations Every Chance supports and must be used for community grassroots sport activities, not representative programs.

Trusted referrers provide support to families and apply on behalf of families to support access to sport.

Vouchers can also be used in the season the voucher is provided.

Specific Participant Criteria

Every Chance considers the social and economic barriers facing the child’s family when determining eligibility for funding.
